How To Get to Nosara

If you are staying with us at our resort then we will arrange for you to be picked up off the plane and taken to your door. If however you’re making your stay with us part of a longer trip around Costa Rica and you prefer to get to us under your own steam, then you’ll find some of this generic information about how to get to Nosara very helpful.

Assuming that you are flying into Costa Rica, the two nearest international airports to Nosara are San Jose and Liberia. A great website for finding flight deals and comparing prices is Kayak. Spirit also do some great deals.

When you are looking for your international flights, San Jose is usually cheaper and/or more convenient because there are more international routes flying into San Jose than Liberia. However San Jose is a 6 hour drive from Nosara where as Liberia is only 2 hours.

Our advice is to fly into Liberia if you can. If it isn’t possible then don’t worry, getting here from San Jose is not too much hassle. Many people regularly make the five hour drive, including myself. To make life easier you could opt to have a driver or even take an internal flight instead.  The flight only takes about 40 minutes but it may mean you have to spend a night in San Jose (if so we recommend the Adventure Inn).

We have provided below all the info you might need including tried and tested directions from San Jose to Nosara and directions from Liberia to Nosara (which we suggest you print off and have with you).
